It's Finally Here

The chanting began with a loud voice as family and loved ones cuddled each other,friends exchanged pleasantries with a hug,and it all went "Happy New Year"!Wow!Just like yesterday,the new year is here with its packages.I have been looking forward to this day and I am sure some of us also.To reckon with,there won't be today if there were no yesterday.Yes,yesterday was quite busy for some of us:like trying to meet up with family responsibilities...,and then plans for the new year with resolutions already made or written,until the cross over service.Now the new year we've all been waiting for is finally here!

Much as we've sang,danced,prayed,spoken into the new year,yet we are still faced with the realities of life.But that shouldn't deter you at all.We live in a faith world(work by faith,and not by sight,even though we see with our eyes)calling forth those things that be not as though they were...In this new year,your mouth(tongue),mind,and heart are strong instruments to achieving anything worthwhile this season.By now,I guess your words,thoughts,and actions should have experienced a new year too(lol).

To start with,what are your plans for the new year?How do you intend to achieve it?What lessons did you gather from the previous year that you want to utilise this new year?What amends are you willing to make this year?How ready and prepared are you for the challenges and successes that accompanies the new year?What are you holding on to that you feel you should let go?

These are questions and more the new year will require you to answer.Making resolutions and writing out your plans both in the present and future is quite welcoming,but sources have shown that it's not all that you write down that has the tendencies of being accomplished.As a matter of fact,give certain persons some time,and they will forget all the resolutions they made.So you see,it's not all about writing them down but following it through untill it is done.Still,it's good to write it down.And as you write it down,make deliberate attempt to follow them through,step by step,even if you end up not achieving them all,but at least,you made efforts.Wake up to the reality on ground!2015 is gone forever,but the new year is finally here!!

Understanding In Relationships

Relationships are like flowers that fades away with time if not properly watered.Every relationship has its strength and weakness.It is now left for you to harness or promote the strength of such relationships or leave it to chance.It is the aspect of the relationship(strength or weakness)you want to be seen,that will eventually pop up in the open.Relationships are meant to be protected,cherished,and nurtured,that is if it is the right kind of relationships.Sometimes,in trying to make the right kind of relationships work out well,there could be some misconceptions.This is where "understanding" come in handy.

Understanding plays a major role in keeping and saving relationships.Any relationship where the parties don't love and understand each other is likely to fall apart.This is why certain people break up.Sometimes,it's not because there's no love,it could just be a little misunderstanding that is not properly managed,and then it degenerates to something else.

Here are some helpful tips:

1. Don't always expect too much from the people in your life.
2. Pay attention(listen)to the slightest detail(s),there could be something the other party is trying to say or pass across.
3. Don't embarrass your partner in public.
4. Be careful about your words,thoughts,and actions.
5. Always weigh the advantages and disadvantages of your decisions before you take them.
6. Don't be in a haste to take decisions when you are angry.
7. Learn to forgive when you need to do so.
8. Whenever you discover you are the one at fault,be swift to say I am sorry.
9. Never look down on the other person because you know more than them.
10. Never allow misunderstanding to linger for to long without finding a way to remedy it.

The energy we take to misunderstand each other is the same energy we can use in understanding each other if we put in our best.There's no such word as unhealthy relationship except the one where there is no love and understanding.Understanding helps you avoid strains in relationships.It is not all about our belief system but the way you see each other.The more we esteem and respect each other,the less misunderstand we will have.#Understanding#Relationship#Respect.

Numbers And Letters

During my salad days,we were taught how to read and write numbers and letters.The letters were much easier to get bye since it begins with the letter "A" and ends with the letter "Z".Numbers on the other hand are sweet to recite,only that you need to create a targeted area to be mastered before you can proceed further.And since it runs into the uncountable,it requires step by step approach.

When we were much younger,we were made to learn both numbers and letters beyond our will and wish until we grew and specialise in our various fields.The young they say shall grow!As time progressed,the term "Mathematics" evolved from the word numbers,while the term "English" evolved from the word letters,and we were ment to choose which field to specialise in.Let me extend a little into my Secondary school life.

To tell you the gospel truth,I never liked Mathematics but I was during well on the average.This was because I gave it my time even though I did not like it.Some times I just wished the cup should pass me by when I am on it.At some other times,I did not understand jack about some procedures but I had to find a way around it.This is a lesson for those of us who think you must like something before you learn it.At least give it a try.You mustn't learn everything about something but you can have an idea about it.

As for "English Language",I had a flair for it no doubt.But it didn't end there.Then,I admired some Television personalities(+Genevieve Nnaji,+Ramsey Nouh...)as well as some newscasters.As a matter of fact,I had to look up the dictionary each time there is a news broadcast so as to know the meaning of certain vocabulary,and to learn the act of diction,what you call "Oral English".Yet the story continued...

In my higher school,I studied Estate Management in Abia State University.Graduated with a good grade,at least with a "Second Class Upper" amidst the rigorous activities.Thereafter did my NYSC with "Music" as my Community Development Service(CDS).After which,I have been through ups and downs,yet I have not lost my mind and my sense of humour.I still remember my knowledge of numbers and letters,and can use it when duty calls.I am still me!Tell your story today to encourage someone.You are free to share and comment!

Spring Up Again

So many of us only want to be at the top always forgetting the fact that it doesn't work like that all the time.There are times you will be up at your game,and some other times,you just don't feel like it.Not to worry!It's only a part of life we all go through.In fact,the beauty of this mystery is that there are lessons,strength and victory in the path that leads downwards.The reason why we sometimes don't see it is because the blessings attached to these periods come in disguise.And if we are not sensitive enough about these seasons we may miss out on the packages that comes with it.Have you ever noticed that when you are close to a great open door that's when so many distractions from left,right,and centre come to play just to dissuade you from such miracles.Of a truth,a number of us had backed out because we couldn't stand the pressure.To be realistic,sometimes these pressure at times come from family members,close friends,and loved ones,and you're like how do I explain this...At such moments,a lot of thoughts will be running through your mind,you don't want stand alone.We all pass through this moments,but the glory lies in going through this moments and coming out refined.Even the seed you plant has to be buried,die in the soil,find its root,before it can germinate,grow and bear fruits.If it refuses,then there won't be branches let alone fruits.

The human life is like that whether we like it or not.You mustn't be up always.There are times you come down so you can go up again.It's only those who don't understand this principle and mystery that jeer at you,unknown to them,you are heading(moving)to a higher dimension beyond their imaginations.Sometimes they don't understand your lifestyle and the reason why you do certain things you do or act in certain ways.And if they criticise you unlawfully,much as you defend yourself,try as much as possible to keep your cool.We are not all perfect but heading towards perfection through processes which consist of the up and down times.Now you know better when I say that sometimes in life,the way to the top is to know the path that leads downwards,because that is where you take root,so as to spring up again.And if you remained focused,you would experience reforms.#Spring up.

Conduct

Pause for a while,take a deep breath and imagine what life would be if each of us learn to conduct(order)our speech,thoughts,and actions in the right progression.I can guess what is going through some of our minds right now,and your are like how can these things be seeing that people have different tendencies,will power as well as choices.Well,yours is not to bother about that but to make efforts to be better.Transformation is never an easy task.There has to be a deliberate effort.If you start from where you are and your circle of influence,before you know it,it spreads round with productive results.

Make no mistakes,offences will come,but in the midst of these offences,find a way to let go.This is not to say that one should hide from his/her weaknesses as if they never existed.But the idea is to summon courage in the midst of the weakness,learning to exhibit strength.We are no robots.That is why the word learning is always emphasised.There's no limit to what you and I can achieve when we learn.And after all is said and done,certain vices will cease,and life will be much more better.The process is not going to be smooth but it can be achievable.Make up your mind today.You are the transformation people see because you have all it takes to get there!#Conduct#Speech#Thoughts#Actions.

The Listening Ears

Listening in basic terms is the act of hearing attentively.To be attentive on the other hand is to give care or pay a particular notice to something.That is to say listening transcends just mere hearing.As a matter of fact for hearing to be effective,there has to be some adherence to details.This is where listening steps in.I always use a particular watchword on children which is as follow: One of the ways to learn is to listen.And I make the children echo the word "Listen" before I get to the end of the sentence.The question now is who do we listen to?Nowadays there are different voices speaking almost alike that it makes it almost difficult for one to detect the right voice.But the good news is that each an every one of us is created with a special instinct to discern between right and wrong.It now depends on how you use it.To be realistic and to save ourselves some undue pressure,it is only wise to look out for mentors,someone you have studied overtime.When I say overtime,I mean someone you have seen his/her weakness and strength,and how such persons have been able to manage these tendencies.Reasons for this is because only those who have gone through the process(good and down times)can be able to tell how the process can work out in your favour,hence,may be what we really need is to pay listening ears.There's no harm in being swift to hear and slow to speak,and if you must speak be sure your words are well seasoned.Season greetings!!!

Worthwhile Living

Life is said to be worthwhile when it is full of love,understanding and all the positive components you know that make up the whole.You know you are loved by the nature of the people you are compassed about with.If it is genuine love,it will stay and take root,and if it is conditional love,you would know.If anyone cannot stand by you when you needed them the most,chances are that they don't really love you.Love has been given different names,language and colours this days,but in the midst of all the happenings, you'd still know which is genuine love.We don't have it all together.Sometimes you may not have all the time to carry out a given task,but with love from loved ones,family members and supportive friends,the tasks becomes a work over.Some other times,you may be in dear need.It could be financial,material and otherwise.At such times,you would really know who truly cared about you.Some would say I don't have at all to give.Hey!You don't need to have it all to give.What about those moral support?What about the smiles?What about the warm welcome that says you are accepted?What about a visit of encouragement?What about a shelter from the sun and rain?What about the financial aid from the little you have?I could go on and on...Sweet heart,let's not look too far!In the love zone(world),something must give,and if it doesn't give at all whether big or small,please check it,there is no love there.Here is it: No one should tell you they love you if they dont fit in,in the above list and what have you.If you love me,save the details because I would know!!!

Take Time Out

Once in a while it's good to take out time to do something different inspite of the economy.It is not a matter of what you have or don't have but a matter of renewal.The mind processes a lot and it needs time out to cool off so it can continue to be productive.To everything,there is a time and season.People who understand seasons know where to find anchor in the midst of the storm.I know it's not easy to be happy when things are not going as planned,neither will being unhappy be able solve any problem also.So why don't I be happy which will go a long way in easing off stress,and help me get a life.You are never the reason why the inevitable happen,so why bear the brunt when you can choose to be happy.Who says you can't enjoy yourself and be happy in any condition you find yourself?It all depends on how we view life.You see things differently,and I see things differently!

Value Placement

Value in simple terms is the determination of the worth of something.It could be monetary,physical,material,spiritual...popularly monetary.Value does not announce its presence,it just shows.Where others struggle,value paves its way to the top.Sometimes,how it does it may look extraordinary but in the real sense,it's just the normal way known to mankind,only that it's done in a creative and innovative style.People who add value to a setting,environment,organisation...no matter the mistakes such persons make or what others think about them,you don't want to lose such persons,and even when you decide to let go,it's not that easy to arrive at a conclusion. This is also applicable to places,things,assets like land and buildings,diamonds,the list are endless because value itself is relative. It is the value you place on yourself that radiates to the people around you.And if certain persons pretend not to acknowledge or notice it,there are possibilities that you are worth more than gold(a great deal).So brace yourself,and celebrate the stuff you are made of!!!

Mistakes Or Results

Mistakes are inevitable as long as planet earth is concerned.No one naturally plans to make mistakes.It happens on the go,especially where you have a quest for something,desire,passion,and the need to break free from the norm,a particular lifestyle,way of life,and organisational structure or system.The above analysis is not an attempt to encourage mistakes or the act of making mistakes,but my emphasis is centred on "Results".The first thing one should ask his/herself before judging someone who has made a mistake is:Is this person in question result oriented?What is the propelling force behind this person's mistake(s).Are this mistakes worth the yelling?Is it something someone can just proffer solution/correction and walk by rather than stressing on it?Mistakes are necessary evils.Without mistakes,you won't learn,without learning,there's no productivity,and without productivity,there won't be results.We need to come to the point where mistakes no longer be the center of attraction but results.To find something worthwhile,you need to do the ultimate search!

Attitude

Have you ever worked hard on something only for you to get peanuts? Have you ever given your best only for it to be thrown back to your face with the tag "thanks but no thanks"?Have you ever tried all possible means only to still find some impossibilities?I can relate it to that moment when you stumbled on something that was ment to make you frown but then the choice is yours whether to smile or frown.This is where attitude play a key role.Things doesn't have to be good or bad before you learn to smile.In fact,smiling helps you ease off unwanted pressures,shielding you from the cares of this world.Events will take place,things will happen on a daily basis to shake you,but you must stand up to it and say "no shaking" meaning "Ode Shi" in my local language.Which ever way,you know the message!

Seasons

For each season that comes to be,there is a reason.And until we find the reason(s) why we celebrate certain seasons in our life,it will have no meaning.There's a reason why people celebrate birthdays,anniversaries...For you to decide to mark such days in your life,it means it is special to you.I am not unaware of the fact that some people celebrate certain seasons with the wrong motives,still,it doesn't remove the emphasis that it is a season in one's life.Seasons come and seasons go.If we are not sensitive enough to key into what the season has for us,we may miss out on it.People have different ways that they optimise seasons.If you need to reach out(help,support,distribute,share...)within your capacity,and available resources,not out of compulsion, do it.Somehow your reward awaits you either immediate or in the future.We do what we do,not because we have it in excess,but because there's someone out there,who needs it to survive.You love it,you live it.

Influence

Show me a wise king,and I'll tell you more about his kingmakers. The same thing applies to the queen,the prince,and the princess.This suggests to you the term "Rulership" or "Leadership".Leadership has nothing to do with your age,background,colour,size,level,class...but a royal virtue that flows from within.It comes with the tact,rare intelligence to be able to handle or deal with issues when they arise without making them worst but proffering solutions,at least bringing such situations under control.This requires wisdom,and wisdom attracts wise men.Here is my summit:Wherever you find yourself,know that you're a strong influence to someone,people around you,your community and what have you,and sometimes we don't realise this fact but it doesn't change the reality either.Let us therefore conduct ourselves knowing that there's someone out there watching.As I speak to you,I am also speaking to myself!

Family Ties

Just as the body cannot do without the soul and the spirit,so are family ties to the human race.The family is the basic(important,unique,influential...)unit of life made up of the Father,Mother,and child/children.And then you have the extended family.We all hail from different family backgrounds that we cannot shy away from no matter how hard we try.It is called family ties!No one wouldn't want to be born in a family that is well to do with a silver spoon in his or her mouth.In fact,if you asked some persons if they would like to identify with certain families,they would say a "gigantic no".The truth is you don't choose the family to be born into but you can choose to make a difference in that family where you are.

Have you ever felt worn out,like you need to be revitalised?Well,if you've ever felt any void,like your storage is empty,then you're not alone in this.It signifies that the time has come for you to fill it up.On the other hand,when your storage space reads full,it only means free urself(system),and others(integrals).By so doing,you become light(free),with all your faculties working.You don't want to carry more than you can bear.As a matter of fact,it helps you think better,love better,and function better.Think about it!It's all in your mind!!

Safety Measures

Life is like a journey you embark on.It has a starting point with a definite destination.But the mystery behind the journey of life is that why we may be able to determine the destination,we may not be able to tell what transpires in the course of the journey.As a matter of fact journeys are full of uncertainties,and sometimes may look rough but you don't have to border about it because you have all it takes to thrive and manovre your way through,coming out victorious,the more reason why you need to adopt safety measures.This safety measures requires that for each journey that you decide on,always remember to go with all your senses such that when responsibilities bekons,you are not overwhelmed by it.

The Right Company

There's no greater joy than to work,chat(talk),brainstorm with the right set of people.In such atmosphere,you're not too careful to express yourself,and when you feel down,there is a sudden lift in your spirit.In such presence,you find encouragement with the zest to move on.Check!Check!!Who are your friends?What company do you keep?Are the people in your life the genuine ones?How do you discern the true ones?These are everyday questions that yearn for answers,and the saying goes you are where you are today as a result of a combination of certain factors-the people you meet,the friends you keep,and the books you read.Watch this!If you take out quality time to read,process,and digest the right ones,you become a mind power.

The Search

I am still yet to come to terms with the reason why certain people would want you to know everything,and yet they don't know everything.Little wonder why majority of the people who put so much pressure on you,if you really check the details,they cannot stand the test of pressure itself.Please don't get it twisted,I believe in perfection but I am not a perfectionist.So I say,if you are faced with questions that you don't have immediate answers to,it is only wise to say oh sorry,let me get back to you later.By so doing,you will be saving yourself a lot of stress you are not prepared to handle.Any attempt to play the I know it all may result to something you don't want to know about because no body knows it all,hence the search or you can call it research!!!

Utilising Opportunities

Whatever is worth appraisal is worth doing well!I may not be all that I desire to be,but I just want to be me,utilising opportunities each time I find it.Are there some moments when you thought you missed out on an opportunity?Never mind because opportunities abound each day waiting for you to grab them but first,you must learn to be real to yourself,having an open mind always.For the fact that it didn't happen as expected yesterday is not a yardstick that something great can't happen today.Mistakes happen but they are not determinant factors...So never let past hurts,performances...deter you from daring(dreaming big).You are worth more than you think you are.The eagle doesn't need to be reminded how high it can soar,for it knows.It doesn't mean the eagle doesn't have its down times,it's just that it knows the power of its strength.When you come to the fullness of who you truly are,you will have no choice than to soar in the light of such revelation.Have a great day!!

Keep Your Cool

It is not an easy task to still keep your cool in face of an unpleasant occurence.Sometimes some things/events can put you off such that you become speechless or even reluctant to move on.But in such moments,the best way to keep your body and soul together(in check) is to expect the unexpected such that when it hits you,you still keep your cool.I am aware of the fact that is much easier to tell someone be strong when you're not the one going through the process but the truth is,if you don't encourage yourself,speak over yourself,get back up again,no one actually in quote will put you back on dat track.The decision is yours to make.There's life ahead to be lived,enjoyed,and fulfilled.For the sake of those connected (linked) to you,for the sake of your loved ones,true friends,and family,rise up,chase that dream/goal(s),believing that the lines will certainly fall in pleasant places for you.Remain blessed!!!

Simple Courtesy

I have been processing a thought pattern of recent centred on "Public Relations".Public relations has nothing to do with your position,feelings,situation,status...It is called simple courtesy.It is linked to one's approach to life as it can be likened to not just what one says but also how it is been said.Public relations dosn't care about your mood at a particular time but cares about your professionalism in the given time.Courtesy demands that we conduct ourselves always in the light of who we truly are,even when it is not convenient for us.Now you understand what I am talking about:Self control,tolerance...which says be simple at the same time keeping it real.

Be Thankful

Have you said thank you today?Are there some things you should be thankful for that you never dare to say thank you?Often times we expect so much that we forget to say thank you for the little things that come our way.It doesn't work that way.Sometimes the bigger blessings are disguised in small things,and if we are like those who see no good in little things,we miss out on the big things without acknowledging it.It might interest you to know that there's no human on earth who doesn't respond to the word thank you,even when they pretend not to give a listening ear,how much more the Almighty.Thanksgiving opens closed doors,as it not only save some protocol but also service you and smile at you in the midst of the crowd.I've never seen any thanks that does not have giving attached to it.Make this season worthwhile by reaching out to friends,loved ones,family,neighbours,people around you...in giving,and when such persons say thank you,it comes back to you in trillion folds.Search deep within,look around you,and you will find reasons to be thankful!!!

Check It

Any business,institution,organisation...that you have to be around always for it to run or function,needs to be given a second thought.U were not created to be controlled by the things you made or formulated,instead you were made to oversee them.This is not to encourage slothfulness but to draw the line between work time and rest time.Whether you are around or not,whatever would be would be.Suffice it to say that even the so called proprietorship has its moment of vacation and yet still retain its position.It has to do with proper planning and preparation.Be wise!Don't work yourself out!!You need to stay alive to nurture what has been kept in your care!!!
