Never Run Into Conclusions...

To run into conclusions is to make up one's mind hastily on a matter or something. It also means to assume that something is actually what one has created in his/her mind or heard from certain sources, without taking out time to find out the full details, meanings, reasons..., for such decisions.

Many atimes, we are all guilty of this act. This could be attributed or traceable to our circles of relationships, the kind of friends we keep, the way we condition our minds, the things we see, hear, imagine, feel, as well as life's experiences. Sometimes, these decisions or conclusions are not orchestrated by us. And sometimes it is beyond our control due to the environment or atmosphere we find ourselves, as well as the value system or belief system we have or the ones the people we flock together with have. Just like we think it doesn't matter, these systems or attitudinal patterns begin to rob off on us. And then if not checked, it becomes the norm or a way of life.

One thing is for sure. Communication must go on. The human race is designed to receive and send out information one way or the other, the best way it can, depending on the method, approach, or platforms it decides to use or adopt.

You would quite agree with me that once an information is sent out, it never returns or comes back to the sender in the form or way it was sent out. This is because as it is sent out to the receiver, the receiver in turn goes (reads) through it, assimilate, analyse it, add his/her own meanings to it according to the way he/she understands it. And if such persons were to send this same message to other persons in a way different from the platform the sender used, especially when it is done orally, the information definitely changes or varies. Don't forget, the third party may also interprete it in his/her own way. That is how information sent across is being read (received), and given different interpretations.

However, we cannot stop communicating simply because some persons manipulate these informations for their own selfish gains. The tips below could be of help:

First, any information that you are not sure about or that you've not gathered facts from the parties involved, don't spread it.

Second, when informations are passed to you, try to figure out the intent of such information before you act on it.

Third, try to understand the information from the senders point of view. And if you are not clear about it, you can refer back to the sender politely.

Fourth, there are informations you cannot help but share especially when you are with people you are free with. The way out is to know which to say and what not to say.

Fifth, choose what to believe and what not to believe after you must have gathered your facts. Sometimes, the facts may not be the real determinant factor for making certain decisions. This is where your instincts are needed! In conclusion, never run into conclusion or jump into something you do not have full details about. For the fact that it didn't work out as planned, is a sign that you need to take your time or take a second look at it later... #Communication #Sender #Receiver #Interpretation #Full details #Take your time #Conclusion (decision).
