Choose What To Respond To

There are a lot of manipulations flying around these days such that even those who are expected to know better are falling prey for it that they unknowingly become forerunners of these manipulations. Times like these are not times to be vulnerable or too naive to read in - between the lines. It may quite interest you to know that there are certain persons whose job description is to seek for ways to bring people down behind such person's back. It is quite appalling to note that it is the people you don't expect this from that actually do it, and yet some of them pretend to be with you all the way. Who is deceiving who?

It is even better sometimes to come out straight in the open saying this is who I am or this is what I feel should be done while speaking good behind the person's back. This makes the person in question to appreciate you for your courage and bravery compared to when you speak good about the person in the open, only to be draining the person secretly. The height of it all is when nothing worthwhile comes out of such persons mouth whether in the secret or in the open. In fact, this kind of people are the people you don't want to spend quality time with so they don't influence you negatively or make you become like them or come down to their level. You don't need to be loquacious about it. It is a matter of instinct!

Much as we can't run away from these rumourmongers, we can put them to check or keep them in check to curtail certain excesses. Don't wait till you become the victim before you get up and act like a victor. It is not the best to assume that everybody truly love you. Off course not! If only you can read through the hearts of certain persons, you'd be amazed by your findings. But are you going to stop being you because some persons have a problem with it?

What has kept me going in the midst of countless distractions is the proper understanding of who I am, and the place of things in my life. In life, you need to know what to adhere (listen) to, and as such choose what to respond to. You mustn't listen to every rumour that fly around in town, and as a matter of fact, you mustn't respond to everything that tries to get your attention by all means. This is where you have to be with all your senses so as not to fall prey or victim or even fall into a trap or being set up.

There's no guiding rules as to choosing what to respond to. The wise become wiser when he/she can interprete certain terms in words and actions that others cannot. Don't play to the gallery. Choose wisely what to respond to. #Choose #Be wise #Don't be vulnerable #Don't fall victim #Interprete well #Choose what to respond to.
