Freedom (Association, Speech, Movement...)

I like the following words I tag three in one word amidst other words that fosters freedom. They are Freedom of Association, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Movement and so on.

Freedom of Association is the condition of being free or having the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints. Freedom of Speech is a civil right that gives one the right to express his/herself in communication by word of mouth. Freedom of Movement is a civil right that allows you move from one place, location or position to the other without fear of intimidation or threat whatsoever.

Just imagine how life would have been if there were no certain freedoms. Imagine you not being free to associate (interact), communicate, make new friends, speak when you need to speak, act when you need to act, express yourself the best way you can, move from one point or place to the other without fear or threat whatsoever, life would be so boring and worthless, having no meaning or sense of purpose. In fact, you don't want to be in such situation because that is what I call imprisonment.

Imprisonment is not only when one go into physical prison alone. Anyone, person (s), people, group of people who is living on planet earth without freedom of association, speech, movement, as well as other basic freedom, can be likened to living in prison. If we look at it deeply, you would discover that the difference between those who are in prison and those who are not, is the freedom one party enjoys compared to the other. So, any place etc, where certain rights or basic freedom are not being enjoyed, no matter how we try to paint it, package it, fine tune it, and make it look sophisticated, it is still imprisonment. We should not wait to go into a physical prison before we know and understand what it means to be in prison.

Freedom of association, speech, movement, and the likes doesn't mean there are no regulations as to how it should be used, but rather it tends to emphasize the essence of living which are the necessary freedom put in place. Come to think of it, how do you go about your daily activities, work business and what have you if these freedoms are not put in place. Believe you me, if there are no security of these basic freedoms, certain activities, business, work etc, would not thrive.

Now you know the essence of these basic freedoms and needs for emphasis. If you don't speak out when you need to speak out appropriately, or act when you need to act accordingly, what you are trying to say is that you are in a semi prison, and I don't want to believe so, because prison experience is not what you want to add to your resume. So be free.
