Just Before You Judge

It doesn't take anything away from you to be generous! Neither is it unfair to be kind to people in unusual ways... And I know the popular saying which goes: whatever you do, people must have something to say about it, but just before you judge, it is only wise to think it over again.

To judge is to determine the result of something or an outcome. It means to form an opinion or an estimate of a particular thing in quantities or time. It also means to draw conclusion on a matter or a particular issue.

The human race is designed in such a way that it is very easy to judge people without putting into consideration certain factors that might have played out before such judgements are made. And to think that the people who are very swift in judging others are the ones who dislike judgement itself. As the saying goes: people should try to remove the plank in their eyes before they think of removing the moth in other people's eyes, as no one can effectively remove the moth in someone's eyes without removing the plank in his/her eyes. So therefore, we should be careful how we judge people, so we ourselves are not judged.

Why do you think certain people disagree more often than agree? The answer is simple! They have not known how to manage the word judgement. When we judge more than we understand, misunderstandings thrives. But when we understand more than we judge, compromises are reached. I've learnt through life experiences not to be too swift to judging people when I don't have an idea of what such persons are facing or may be facing. The proper thing to do is to gather your facts or get armed with facts from reliable sources. Until then, it's advisable and wise to keep your cool.

Sometimes, we are prone to judging what we see on the outward or surface, leaving the inward out. Can I announce to you that in some cases, it's not all about the outward appearance or what the eyes can see from the surface but also about the intent of the heart. If the intent of the heart is good (intact), no matter how a person is judged, such persons still come out looking stronger and better than he/she was. But if the intent is wrong, no matter how right the judgement may appear, it won't stand the test of time because someday the truth would be revealed.

The outward and the inward parts has its place in judgement processes. Never judge from the outward appearance alone or on what you can see presently. Sometimes things don't appear the way they seem. It takes a person of wisdom, a matured mind..., and a responsible fellow to be able to decipher certain ambiguity in certain statements as well as process it, interprete it, and make decision on it. The watch word here is to find a way of balancing intents and what the eyes can see. When you are sure you've done your home work (played your part well), you can now make your judgements. #Estimate #Findings #Opinion #Outcome #Facts #Intent #Conclusion #Judgement.
