Feeling Untouchable

Feeling untouchable is an emotional sensation or a particular state of mind that is beyond attack or criticism of any sort. It is a kind of moral sensitivity especially in relation to personal principles or dignity that is immuned to certain attacks or criticisms.

Criticisms are bound to occur in almost every setting or aspect of the human race because humans would always be humans. Nothing ever satisfy us. Our wants are unlimited and insatiable. We want this, we want that. Some of us want it black, and some want it white. Some want it hot, and some want it cold. Some want it tall, and some want it short. Some want it slim, and some want it fat. Some want it mild, and some want it harsh. Some want it simple, and some prefer it hard. While some say you are good, some others say your good is not good enough. While some say slow down, some others echo increase the speed.

Even with a house or an estate well furnished, tasteful, and lovely to behold, you would still see somebody that would have a different opinion or sing a different song about it. And then you work so hard, the best way you can, there would still be some that would say you are a workaholic, compelling you to take some rest. Then you decide to take a rest, the next thing you would hear is you are relaxing too much. Perhaps you restructure or resolve not to sleep much, and then it is tagged insomania. Then you turn the table around, and what you would hear is keep on sleeping or even go to bed (meaning one is sleeping too much).

What about when I try to put some call across? The response I get both expressly or implied is please call me back later, I am very busy right now. And then I make a "U" turn, and it becomes: you don't call any longer. And I am like me? Really? Suddenly they forget those times you were trying to reach out, and then it looked like you were bordering them with calls. Now you decided to make some adjustments, and some become uncomfortable with it. This is the kind of world that we live in. Nothing ever satisfies, unless you are thankful and contented with what you have, while you look forward to better days ahead.

Criticisms are in various shapes and levels, but beyond criticism, there is a higher life which is the life of the "Untouchable". To attain this height, you must have gone through certain processes as well as imbibe certain virtues. It is these virtues that enable you build tough skin over certain criticisms. Anyone who is waiting to have a smooth ride without criticism is not ready to grow. It is these criticisms and the ability to manage them without losing yourself that makes you stand out (untouchable).

Are you feeling untouchable like me? Then, you must have passed some test. I call it freedom test. It is not in any ways saying one has arrived. What it is saying is that: I am a better me. I am not who I used to be. I am still evolving (growing). I am still pressing on until I reach my desired haven (goal). #State of mind #Beyond criticism #Freedom #Better me #Still pressing on #Feeling untouchable.
