Light in the terms of physics is an electromagnetic radiation that can produce a visual sensation. To light up something is to illuminate it. If it is not giving you illumination, then it is not light. Tunnel on the other hand is a passageway through or under something, usually underground. It can be likened to a confinement. Yet, it cannot stop light from shinning through it, where there is illumination.
Light is not the absence of darkness but the the dominance of light over darkness, in such a way that once, light steps in, darkness has no chioce than to disappear. Sometimes, the intention of the light is not to chase the darkness but the darkness itself just can't help or stand it, as it is being chased away even by the slightest ray of light. This is to show the uniqueness of light amidst darkness. And what does it suggest to us? It doesn't matter the amount of darkness around you or militataing against you, as long as you represent the light, even in the midst of darkness and obscurity, you would still shine.
Many at times, we spend much time magnifying the darkness around us instead of making efforts to become more of the light. Darkness doesn't respond to any other language than the light, no matter your status, position, or pedigree in life. Therefore, your (our) focus should not be centred on the darkness but on how you (we) can become the light, because darkness will always be darkness.
I know when the word darkness is mentioned, what comes to the minds of certain people is the negative, especially those who attach so many meanings to certain term or word. Please follow me closely with an open mind.
Darkness as used in this context is not in any ways referring to people who do not share the same belief system with us. Neither is darkness referred to people who according to us are labelled sinners, because we have certain perspective about such persons. What if I told you that some darkness are necessary evils, because without them, there won't be opportunity to shine your light. Now, here is what I mean by darkness:
Darkness is knowing the truth in all its ramifications and still never acknowledging that it is the truth. Darkness is when someone is pretending to be a sheep whereas such person (s) is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Darkness is anything that has experienced darkness and light but chooses to remain in the dark. Darkness is anything, activities..., that does not support the growth and development of any institution or organization etc, but delights or take pleasure in its failure. I can go on and on...
From the above, it is plain to see that darkness cannot chase away darkness, except the true light. When you (we) become the light, darkness will have no place to hide among us.
