Attachments

An attachment is a feeling of affection for a person or an institution. It is a predisposition to liking something, someone, person(s), friendship, family, institution, organisation, business, company, corporation etc. It is a positive way of displaying warmth or affection.

We all have things that we are attached to one way or the other, and these attachments determine a lot of things like the way we see life, respond to life issues, behave, as well as the way you comport yourself (code of conduct). Whatever you attach yourself to, you are most likely to become it consciously or unconsciously. It is only wise to be selective in what one gets attached to. Your attachments determines your pace in life to some extent. It can either connect you to other profitable or productive attachments or drag you backwards. It can mode you or break you. It can increase your worth(value) or decrease your value. It can broaden your horizon or limit your scope. It is not wrong in any ways to be attached to something, as it comes naturally. The only draw back, is to be attached to the wrong things.

During trying times, it is your attachment to whatever you are attached to that helps you stick to it. Outside from that, there would be no relationships whatsoever. Your attachments to anything whatsoever speaks louder than mere words. Anything you are not attached to, no matter how you try to paint it or cover it up, you won't stay true or stand by it. The earlier we tell ourselves the deep truth, the better we would become. It starts by quitting certain tendencies portraying that we are committed or attached to a particular course, whereas our hearts are not there.

It is very easy to know when you are attached to something. Did I hear somebody say how? It is not far fetched:

Close Your Ears To External Bodies. When you are attached to anything, you close your ears to external bodies. That is to say that you don't welcome any form of falsehood in rumours, propangada, representations...

Protect The Image Of Your Attachment. No matter what comes, through the ups and downs, you would make efforts to protect the image of your attachment from any form of harm or danger.

Seek To Improve Your Attachment. Your influence in whatever ways robs off on anything you are attached to. As much as it lies within your powers, you would want to go out of your way to improve your attachments. It could be physical, material, mental, financial, spiritual and otherwise.

Support Your Attachments. Support comes in diverse forms according to the need.This comes  in handy when you are attached to something.

Invest In Your Attachments. It is what you feed, that comes back to feed you. When your heart is in something..., you want to invest in it, in which ever way you can.
